I hope very soon I listen and read only good news about Israel, and every young man can be old with their families in a pacefull Land.
My best regards from Chile, Sudamerica.

In thoughts with you on Yom Hazikaron
Even though we think a lot of you often, we wanted to express it today on the site on Yom Hazikaron.
With our love, the Volcot-Freeman
Simply terrible
While looking for some interformation on the ongoing conflict in Gaza, yesterday night I came across this site by pure coincidence. As the story of Daniel moved very much, I decided to come back and leave a message.
When I was browsing through all those pictures of him, I became deeply sad – and angry. I just can’t unterstand why such a young boy – just at the beginning of this life – had to die. That’s something impossible to accept. I mean, he was even slightly younger than me. (I was born in 1984). I hope that someday there will be a peaceful world without violence so that the military, which I personally despise, is no longer needed.
May Daniel rest in peace.
For all the sons and daughters,
With deepest respect.
There aren´t words enough to express
I live in brazil, but I here Galgalatz everyday, and today is yom Hazikaron and they publihsed this site, and I entered and read everything, and I guess there aren´t words enough to make things to change,so sad, so terrible, but this is what can be done to give you the support, as jewish people. He will always be remembered for everything he was and he did. I wish you that from now on, much light eneters through your window to brighten a little bit your life….
much love
Sefi
What a tragic, senseless loss
I would like to echo my mothers words below…
although I never met Daniel, I feel like I have been robbed of a member of my close family.
All these months after the conflict, I am still struggling to understand why
Israel had to lose so many of its soldiers, Daniel among them. I hope that
Daniels family in Israel know that his extended family here in the UK will
never forget him, his immense bravery and courage, and how he died fighting
for a greater good – and, ultimately, for peace
I am heartbroken to lose a young cousin in such circumstances – heartbroken for his
parents and grandparents, for his siblings and friends, for Israel and for the
worldwide Jewish community. He was a credit to all of them and a terrible loss,
who can never be replaced. As I know, his grandparents already endured enough during
the second world war and it is a tragedy that they should be subject to further sorrows
I believe there must be a higher purpose to explain all the suffering of Israelis since (and before) 1948,
and that one day it will be seen as a contribution to peace in the region for all time.
For now, my family and I will never cease to think of Daniel and his close family,
of all he achieved in his short life, and of his bravery.
We in the Diaspora live in safety because the heroic soldiers of Israel fight on our behalf as well.
I am proud to be his relative.
Such a talented and gracious individual, by the pictures and words you can see how
he made the most out of every day in this planet….so sad
