On September 2006 The Israeli Medical Association held an evening in tribute to the physicians of the north for their work during the second Lebanon war. During the evening, which was held in Haifa’s congress center, a scholarship fund on the name of Dr. Igor Rotshtein was announced, as well as scholarships on the name of Daniel Shiran and Daniel Gomez, who was a helicopter pilot. The scholarships will be given during 2007 to outstanding doctors for a fellowship abroad.
